A Wix alternative: Lokal360 vs Wix.
Paying the subscription with no end in sight, and the site still is not yours?

·Igor Bily · Lokal360

The verdict in 1 sentence

Looking for a Wix alternative? You run a business on Wix, you pay the subscription every month, and the site loads slowly and does not show up in Google where it should? Wix is enough for a hobby business, a micro-firm on a 0 PLN budget, a freelancer with 1 page. A Lokal360 static site wins for any business that wants: better SEO, a lower 5-year TCO, no vendor lock-in, ownership of the code.

  • Wix: 80-280 PLN/month, a perpetual subscription, PageSpeed 30-60, export impossible, vendor lock-in
  • Lokal360 static: 1 299-2 499 PLN one-time, PageSpeed 99/100, the code is yours, hosting from 250 PLN/year with a domain
  • 5-year cost (small biz): Wix 4 800-16 800 PLN / Lokal360 1 299-2 799 PLN, a difference of 4 000-15 000 PLN
  • The key: with Wix the owner pays for hosting forever and CANNOT export their site, it is a lifelong subscription

A real bill for a typical small business

Wix amounts are approximate, per public pricing as of 2026, verify with the provider.

Option A: Wix Business plan (typical for businesses)

  • DIY setup: 0 PLN (your time, typically 20-40 hours)
  • Wix Business plan: 80 PLN / month × 60 = 4 800 PLN / 5 years
  • Wix Custom domain: 90 PLN × 5 = 450 PLN
  • Wix Stores Pro (if a shop): +120 PLN / month × 60 = +7 200 PLN
  • Apps from the Wix App Market (usually 5-15 USD/month each): typically 1 500-5 000 PLN / 5 years
  • Total without a shop: 5 250 PLN / 5 years
  • Total with Wix Stores: 12 450 PLN / 5 years

Option B: a Lokal360 static company site

  • Setup: 2 499 PLN (one-time)
  • Hosting (dhosting): ~190 PLN / year × 5 = 950 PLN
  • .pl domain: 60 PLN × 5 = 300 PLN
  • Optional care: 0-8 940 PLN / 5 years
  • Total without care: 3 749 PLN / 5 years
  • Total with Standard care: 12 689 PLN / 5 years

Difference: 3 000-10 000 PLN / 5 years in favor of static

Plus a 30-50 % higher PageSpeed = better SEO = more free traffic. Plus ownership of the code (you can change the contractor / hosting at any time). You will find the full rates in the Lokal360 pricing, and the most popular Wix alternative is a company site built from lightweight code.

The worst fact about Wix: you cannot export it

This is the reason that cancels out everything else. After 5 years on Wix you want to switch, to what? The site you built over hundreds of hours is trapped. Wix does not let you export the site as finished code. You can only:

  • Export the content as PDF / Word (you lose all the links, the design, the structure)
  • Cancel the subscription, the site disappears from the internet
  • Start from scratch with a new contractor

It is a lifelong subscription, not ownership. A static HTML site is your folder of files, you can copy it to any host in 2 minutes.

When Wix is the better choice

  • A hobby business with no budget for a 999+ PLN setup
  • A freelancer with 1 portfolio page, editing it daily
  • No budget for maintenance. Wix is zero-touch
  • A shop with 5-20 products. Wix Stores is enough, a shorter time-to-launch

When a static site wins

  • Any service business (restaurant, hotel, salon, clinic)
  • A 3+ year plan in a given industry
  • Local SEO as a way to win clients (Wix is weak, lightweight code with PageSpeed 99 raises your ranking)
  • Your own look and image. Wix templates are the same for everyone
  • Independence, you do not want to depend on a single provider

FAQ

I have a site on Wix, how do I migrate?

Migration from Wix → HTML is a manual rewrite (Wix does not export). Full process: WordPress / Wix migration → HTML. Price 1 499 PLN, 5-7 days. Content, structure, SEO preserved through 301 redirects.

Does Wix Stores replace Shopify?

For 5-20 products, it is enough. Above 50 products / 50 orders per month Shopify is better (a smoother purchase, more connections to other tools, a lower total cost with transaction fees). Wix Stores is plenty for the smallest business.

Does Wix Velo (code) save the situation?

Partly. Wix Velo lets you add your own features, but the site itself (look and content) is still trapped in the Wix format. Export is still impossible. Velo is a patch, not a solution.

What if I have already paid for Wix for a year?

Finish the year, and in the meantime start building the static site. The migration is ready before Wix expires, the switch happens in a single day. Wix usually does not refund the money pro rata.

Time to escape Wix?

Migration in 5-7 days, content preserved, SEO with no loss of rankings.

Decision table

Who is better off with Wix, who with Lokal360

Wix is great when you need a simple business card site today, in 2-3 days, for little money. Lokal360 makes sense when the site is the heart of the business: it has to rank high in Google, load in 1 second, carry business data for Google, have correct language versions, connections to systems, and not drown you in a subscription costing approximately 600-1200 PLN a year.

Criterion Wix better Lokal360 better
Business card site, 3 subpages, budget up to 500 PLN ✓ yes
The site has to rank for local phrases ✓ yes
Speed matters (first full image under 2.5 s, a speed and stability score from Google) ✓ yes
Multiple languages (EN/RU/UK) with correct version tagging for Google ✓ yes
I prefer to edit it myself in the browser ✓ yes

Realistically: Wix for a site that ten people see a month. Lokal360 for a site that has to generate clients from Google (the PageSpeed difference: Wix 40-55, Lokal360 95-100).

How to switch, step by step

Moving from Wix to Lokal360 in 5 steps

The most important part of the move is the 301 redirects. Without them you lose all the SEO you built on Wix (even if it was little, sometimes you rank high for a few phrases). With redirects, the rankings transfer 1:1 within 2-4 weeks.

  1. Week 1 (collecting content). Gathering the text from every Wix subpage (a copy into a Word or Notion file). Downloading the photos at full resolution (Wix shrinks them, so you have to hunt for the originals). A list of every address from Wix (to prepare the redirects).
  2. Week 2 (SEO review). Checking in Google Search Console which addresses get impressions. A list of the phrases the site currently ranks high for. We carry those rankings over with 301 redirects (the old Wix address leads to the new Lokal360 address).
  3. Weeks 3-4 (the Lokal360 site). Building the company site in Astro (lightweight code, PageSpeed 95-100 versus Wix 40-55). All the subpages, data for Google, language versions, sitemap, sharing image. Content moved 1:1 from Wix (with optional copy improvements).
  4. Week 5 (domain and redirects). Moving the domain from Wix to Lokal360 hosting (ja360.pl, OVH or your own). Setting up the 301 redirects on the server. Testing every address: the old Wix address lands on the new Lokal360 address.
  5. Week 6 and beyond (leaving Wix, watching). You cancel the Wix subscription (saving approximately 600-1200 PLN a year). Watching Google Search Console for 4-8 weeks. Most rankings hold or grow (better speed and stability lifts the ranking). Old phrases come back high within 2-4 weeks after the move.

Honest about the pros and cons

What you gain, what you lose after leaving Wix

You gain

  • PageSpeed 95-100 (versus Wix 40-55), a real shot at a high position in Google
  • No Wix subscription (approximately 600-1200 PLN a year recovered)
  • Full business data for Google, language versions, a sharing image (Wix has this limited)
  • Multiple languages EN/RU/UK with correct version tagging for Google
  • Full control over the code, your own server, no vendor lock-in

What you lose, what it costs

  • The drag-and-drop editor (Lokal360 has a content panel, but not as simple as Wix)
  • Making changes yourself in 5 minutes through the browser (in Lokal360 changes go through Igor, as part of the care plan)
  • The upfront cost (one-time, to be financed)
  • The Wix App Market (300+ add-ons in 1 click; in Lokal360 the connections are built for you)
  • Time: 1-2 hours a month spent requesting changes (instead of clicking them yourself)

What stays the same: The site content and your brand. The move is swapping the engine under the hood, clients will not even notice. They will only notice that the site loads faster and finally shows up in Google for what used to be on page 5 of the results.
